Hawaii Kai bake sale helps disaster victims
Hawaii Kai Church hosts a Christmas Cookie Walk from 9 a.m. to noon tomorrow on the church grounds.
Homemade candies, cookies, and other baked goods will be sold, along with gift baskets. Free coffee, eggnog and cider will be served.
All proceeds will go to Katrina Disaster Relief efforts.
The church is at 265 Lunalilo Home Road. Call 395-9494.
Youth Opera Chorus holds holiday concert
The Hawaii Youth Opera Chorus holds its 47th annual Christmas concert at 7 p.m. tomorrow at Kawaiaha'o Church.
The performance, themed "What a Wonderful World" will feature the various ensembles that make up the company of more than 200 students in grades kindergarten through 12.

Free pictures with Santa!
Smile and say cheese! The Honolulu City Lights program is offering free picture-taking with Santa, courtesy of Fuji Film Hawaii and Kraft Foods Hawaii.
Tonight: Santa will be at the Ku'u Home display in the Honolulu Hale Courtyard from 7 to 9 p.m. Get there early; the Lincoln Elementary School Choir will perform in the courtyard from 6 to 7 p.m., and the Clowns of Aloha will be on hand for the keiki with face-painting and balloons.
Dec. 20: Santa will be back at the Ku'u Home display at 7 p.m, with another appearance by the Clowns of Aloha.

Green House hosts craft, plant seminars
The Green House is holding the following workshops tomorrow at 224 Pakohana St. in Pauoa Valley:
10 a.m. to noon: "Remake a T": Transform old T-shirts into wearable art. Bring old T-shirts, buttons, ribbons, glitter and anything else you need for your creation.
10 a.m. to noon: "Composting with Evelyn," taught by Evelyn Giddings. Hands-on class on how to build and harvest a compost pile.
1:30 to 3:30 p.m.: "Edible Landscaping." Learn how to plant and harvest food for you and your family.
1:30 to 3:30 p.m.: "Papermaking with Plants." Participants will explore papermaking from "seed to sheet," including havesting a variety of plants and exploring the differences in the fiber they produce.
