Boise State returns for Hawaii Bowl

The WAC put four teams in bowl games this year:
» New Mexico Bowl: Nevada vs. New Mexico
» Hawaii Bowl: East Carolina vs. Boise State
» Humanitarian Bowl: Georgia Tech vs. Fresno State
» Sugar Bowl: Hawaii vs. Georgia

The No. 24 Broncos (10-2) lost their last regular-season game in Aloha Stadium to Western Athletic Conference champion Hawaii 39-27 on Nov. 23. East Carolina (7-5), the No. 5 team from Conference USA, accepted a bid from Hawaii Bowl officials on Saturday.
Nevada, one of the WAC's other bowl-eligible teams, accepted an invitation to meet New Mexico of the Mountain West Conference in the second annual New Mexico Bowl on Dec. 22 in Albuquerque.
Fresno State (8-4) accepted an invitation to take on Georgia Tech (7-5) in the Humanitarian Bowl in Boise, Idaho.
The Yellow Jackets will be coached by defensive coordinator Jon Tenuta after Chan Gailey was fired.
