‘Lost’ actor Daniel Kim pleads not guilty to DUI
"Lost" TV star Daniel Dae Kim, through his attorney, pleaded not guilty yesterday to a drunken-driving charge.
Kim, who plays Jin Soo Kwon on "Lost," did not appear at his arraignment yesterday in Honolulu District Court.
Kim's traffic abstract shows his driver's license was revoked Monday for six months, from Nov. 25 to May 24, after an Administrative Driver's License Revocation proceeding.
Kim was arrested at about 3 a.m. Oct. 25 after a police officer spotted him allegedly driving erratically on South King Street near Isenberg Street.
Kim's blood-alcohol content allegedly was found to be 0.168, surpassing the threshold of 0.15 blood-alcohol content for the "highly intoxicated" level, and more than double the 0.08 legal limit for driving under the influence.
Other "Lost" stars have been charged with drunken driving. Actresses Michelle Rodriguez and Cynthia Watros pleaded guilty to the charge in 2005.
Kim's attorney, R. Patrick McPherson, said his client "has been treated exactly the same by the prosecution, the police and myself as any other defendant would have been treated."
