Island Pacific Academy honors its kupuna with a school music program as part of the annual Na Kupuna Day, when grandparents and other kupuna visit the school. Fifth-graders, above, sang "God Bless the USA" Wednesday at the event.

 
Aaron and Diane Fung helped their granddaughter Lexie Jade while Ling Ling Chow helped her granddaughter Kailiohu Kila find words related to Thanksgiving for their school project. Lexie and Kailiohu are second-graders in Darci Garcia's class.

 
Simeon James Hatcher and his wife, Claudette, hugged and smooched their granddaughter Jayda Hatcher in her pre-kindergarten class before they went to the concert. They flew in from Pennsylvania to spend Thanksgiving in Hawaii.
