The Elks club held first-round competitions Wednesday for its annual Hoop Shoot Free Throw Contest at Pearl City District Park Gym. Casey Mamalias, center left, drew a card to determine his order in the lineup as Matthew Hunkin, far left, kept a watchful eye.
After the cards were drawn Hunkin fired away.
Anis Augafa, above, was the picture of concentration.
Jacob Walter gave it his best shot. Age-group winners for boys and girls advance to citywide competition Dec. 1 at Halawa District Park.
