State seeks nominations for water commission
The state Department of Land and Natural Resources is soliciting nominations for people willing to serve as a member of the state Commission on Water Resource Management.
One seat will be open July 1.
The appointment by the governor, subject to confirmation by the state Senate, is for a four-year term.
Nominations, along with resumes, should be sent to the Nominating Committee, Commission on Water Resource Management, P.O. Box 621, Honolulu, HI 96809, no later than Dec. 14.
Members do not earn a salary, but are reimbursed for expenses, including travel.
The commission has jurisdiction and final authority on matters relating to the application and administration of the state Water Code.
