O'Malley tops Kapiolani Health Foundation
Michael O'Malley, a principal in the Honolulu office of Accuity LLP, has been elected chairman of the Kapiolani Health Foundation.
Kimberly W. Dey, vice president of the Charles B. Wang Foundation, was elected to the foundation's board.
The Rehabilitation Hospital of the Pacific received a $25,000 grant from East Oahu resident Edith Leong to support the Jack and Edith Leong Endowment for Charity Care. Other grants for specific programs include $20,000 from the Bretzlaff Foundation Inc. for research, education and training; $15,000 from Teresa F. Hughes Trust for charity care patients age 70-plus; $5,000 from the American Board of Trial Advocates for the Think First injury prevention program; $5,000 from Schuyler E. Cole for the Beyond the Limit program; and $5,000 from the Na Hoa Laulima Gift Shop, Rehabilitation Hospital Auxiliary for the purchase of a patient van. Grants for unrestricted use include $15,000 from Arthur and Louise Hanser Charitable Trust Fund (Ed and Grace Furukawa); $10,000 from Jean and William K.H. Mau Foundation; $10,000 from Carole Lai in memory of Patrick T. Lai; $10,000 from Kosasa Foundation; $5,000 from Neal K. Kanda; $5,000 from Abigail K. Kawananakoa; $5,000 from the Hartley Foundation; $5,000 from Webco Foundation; and $6,365 from the World of Fung Shui Inc.
