Restaurant robbery investigated
Police need help in finding a suspect wanted for the robbery of a sushi restaurant last month.
About 4:30 a.m. on Oct. 24, the victim, owner of Superb Sushi, went downstairs to his restaurant after his alarm was activated. The restaurant is located at 3167 Waialae Ave.
The owner confronted the suspect and a struggle ensued, police said. The suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect is described as in his 20s, about 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighing about 160 to 180 pounds with wavy black hair. He was seen wearing a gray short-sleeve T-shirt, khaki military-style long pants and slippers.

Man allegedly assaults officer
Police on Monday arrested a 35-year-old man for allegedly punching a police officer.
Shortly after 2 p.m., a police officer was flagged down by a Moiliili resident, who said the suspect was drinking and wouldn't leave his property.
Police said the suspect, carrying an open bottle of alcohol, started to walk away. The officer tried to take the bottle away, and when the suspect pulled away the bottle fell, police said. The suspect fell to the ground, pulling the officer down by his orange traffic vest. The man allegedly then punched the officer in the face, causing a minor cut to his left eye.
With help from a witness, the officer subdued the suspect. He was arrested on suspicion of first-degree assault against a law enforcement officer.
Man arrested after family squabble
Police arrested a 45-year-old St. Louis Heights man after he allegedly beat his wife and daughter.
Shortly after midnight yesterday, the suspect allegedly punched and choked his 51-year-old wife at their Quincy Place home.
Police said their 17-year-old daughter intervened, but was also punched. There were no visible injuries to either victim, police said.
Police arrested the man on suspicion of abuse of a family member.
Stolen car leads to drug arrests
Police arrested a man and a woman for alleged drug violations after they were spotted in a stolen car in Chinatown.
Police said an officer noticed the car stopped and blocking traffic about 8 p.m. Monday. The officer then learned that the vehicle had been reported stolen. The officer arrested the 24-year-old male driver on suspicion of auto theft. The 23-year-old female passenger was arrested on suspicion of unauthorized entry.
Both also were arrested on suspicion of drug violations after a glass ice pipe was found on the front seat of the vehicle, police said.
