Waiakea, Mililani take leads
Diana Ishida of Mililani is the girls individual leader after yesterday's first day of the Billy Tees/HHSAA State Bowling Championship at Hilo Lanes.
Ishida had a 236 in the fifth of her six games, and had a total pin count of 1,151.
Waiakea's Brittney Uyeda is 11 pins back in second place at 1,140.
Waiakea leads the girls team competition with 5,258 total pins, followed by Mililani at 5,241.
On the boys side, Konawaena's Daron Sugiyama (1,219) holds a 22-pin lead over Waiakea's Casey Shinshiro.
Mililani's boys team is in first place with 5,718 total pins, followed by Kalani with 5,623.
The final round is today.
