Peace, the future and the ferry (plus: bellydancing)
Give peace a chance at the Pegge Hopper Gallery this First Friday. Artists such as Hopper, Kandi Everett, Mary Mitsuda, Jodi Endicott, Maile Yawata, Lori Uyehara and Alan Leitner use the peace symbol as artistic inspiration for "Power to the Peaceful."

The gallery will also host a book signing for Jefferson Finney and Hopper, who authored and illustrated, respectively, "The Clever Dog."
The ARTS at Marks Garage gets visionary with "Alternative Urban Futures," while The Exhibit Space at 1132 Bishop St. features wood works. Over at the Kim Taylor Reece Gallery, Anjj, Barefoot Bob, Kevin Jones, Ron Cameron, Lei Medeiros and Sean Tiwanak & Friends entertain.
