Residents at Kahala Nui retirement home held a Halloween costume party yesterday. Joining the festivities was Thomas Rienzi, a retired Army general, who charged into the Halloween costume party on his scooter. Behind him was Salome Sato.

Honolulu Community College student Anela Lagazo studied yesterday for her cosmetology chemistry test dressed as a bumblebee. Although HCC hosted a Halloween costume contest yesterday, Lagazo said she was not going to enter it because it was at the same time as her test.
