UH's McKnight to speak at OCC
University of Hawaii special teams coach Dennis McKnight will speak during an Exchange Club of Downtown Honolulu luncheon on Nov. 15.
The luncheon will be held at the Oahu Country Cub from noon to 1:30 p.m. During the luncheon, McKnight will be discussing the Warriors and what they need to do to play in a BCS bowl game, according to organizers.

Rainbow Wahine in sixth place
Hawaii is in sixth place after yesterday's second round of the Kent Youel Invitational at Kapolei Golf Course.
Xyra Suyetsugu is leading the way for the Rainbow Wahine. She's in a tie for 16th at 7-over 151.
Top-ranked UCLA is in the lead in the team standings.
3 with local ties on FIVB Cup roster
Former Hawaii All-Americans Robyn Ah Mow-Santos and Heather Bown, and Punahou product Lindsey Berg have been selected to the roster for the U.S. Women's National Volleyball Team which will compete in the FIVB World Cup beginning Friday in Japan.
The Cup is the first of three Olympic qualification steps for Beijing 2008. The top three teams at the World Cup qualify for the 2008 Olympics with other teams having two other chances to qualify through May.
Ah Mow-Santos (McKinley '93) played in the 2000 and 2004 Olympic Games. The setter has started three of the four tournaments that Team USA has entered this year, starting all five matches during the NORCECA Championship, where the U.S. finished second.
Berg (Punahou '98) a 2004 Olympian as reserve setter, provided 37 assists in mainly a reserve role at the NORCECA Championship in her first tournament back after nearly a year away from the national team program. She started the final three sets of the NORCECA Championship gold medal match against Cuba.
Bown, a middle who played for the Rainbow Wahine in 1998 and '99, also is a two-time Olympian. She's been playing in Italy and returned to the national team this past summer.
BeachBoys topple Sharks in HWB
Waikiki used a five-run eighth inning to pull away from Honolulu in a 9-1 victory yesterday in a Hawaii Winter Baseball game at Hans L'Orange Field.
Michael Wilson tripled, doubled and drove in three runs for the BeachBoys, and Kyohei Muranaka won his second straight start despite giving up nine hits in 5 2/3 innings.
Austin Jackson and Brandon Snyder had three hits each for the Sharks.
» North Shore got two hits and two RBIs apiece from Mat Gamel and Dusty Ryan in an 8-2 win over West Oahu last night.
Jamie Hoffman had two hits, including a triple, for the CaneFires.
Shinya Nakayama earned the win for the Honu, allowing one hit and one run in six innings.

Vulcans golfers finish second
Hawaii-Hilo finished second in the inaugural Dennis Rose Intercollegiate golf tournament at the Waikoloa Kings' Course.
Jayna Shimomura led the Vulcans with a 78-81-79--238, good for second place. She finished 14 strokes behind medalist Malin Thornberg of Cal Baptist, which won the team title by 15 strokes over the Vulcans.
» Hawaii-Hilo's Logan Goulding toured the Kings' Course in 1-over 217 over three rounds to finish tied for fourth on the men's side at the Dennis Rose Intercollegiate yesterday.
The Vulcans were the highest finisher among Hawaii schools, taking fourth place behind champion Sonoma State, Cal State Stanislaus and Point Loma Nazarene. Brigham Young-Hawaii finished 15th and Hawaii Pacific was in last at 16th.
Kyle Hopkins of Sonoma State took medalist honors in a playoff against teammate Jacob O'Keefe and Andy Moren of Stanislaus.
