Waipahu foundation awards 4 grants
The
Waipahu Community Foundation awarded its second-quarter grants to
Waipahu Elementary School ($1,740);
Village Park Athletic Association ($4,000);
Na Pa'ani Softball ($4,000); and the

The Rehabilitation Hospital of the Pacific received $106,000 from the 10th-annual AIG Joy of Food & Wine fundraiser at the Halekulani Hotel and an additional $20,000 from AIG Auto Insurance; $11,500 from a Neiman Marcus 100th anniversary luncheon; and $9,500 from the third-annual Young Artists Helping Young Artists event.
Foodland Super Market Ltd. donated more than $1.4 million to Hawaii's nonprofit organizations this year as part of its Give Aloha, Foodland's Annual Community Matching Gifts Program. Customers donated $1,138,446.87 to their favorite nonprofit organizations at Foodland and Sack N Save checkouts statewide in September. Foodland and the Western Union Foundation contributed $285,000 to match their gifts, resulting in a total of $1,423,446.87
