Association of car dealers elects officers
The
Hawaii Automobile Dealers Association elected the following officers and directors for 2008:
Wayne De Luz, president; Stan Masamitsu, president-elect; Nick Cutter, vice president; Joe Nicolai, secretary; Ron Hansen, treasurer; Bill van den Hurk, Morrie Stoebner and Jack Jackson, Oahu directors; Dennis Short and Dave Chun, at-large directors; Eric Fukunaga, immediate past president.
Directors elected from the neighbor islands are James Haley, Kauai; Jerry Cousin, Big Island; and Damien Farias, Maui.
Joe Hanley, the National Automobile Dealers Association (NADA) representative, was also installed on the board of directors.
Makaha Resort & Golf Club gave $2,800 to the nonprofit Boys & Girls Club of Hawaii's Waianae Clubhouse from proceeds raised at the Old Republic Title's Golf tournament held at Makaha in July. The funds will be used for the Clubhouse's Teen program for social recreation and leadership training activities.
Haseko, Ocean Pointe and Hoakalei developer, gave $50,000 to James Campbell High School's Saber Media Program as part of its Good Neighbor Program, which supports the Ewa Beach community.
