Another actor who stars in the hit TV series "Lost" was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol early yesterday, the third such arrest in three years.

Daniel Dae Kim, who plays Korean macho man Jin Soo Kwon on the show, was arrested shortly before 2:30 a.m. A patrol officer saw a 2001 silver Audi driving erratically on South King Street at Isenberg Street and followed the car, pulling it over on King Street near the onramp to the H-1 freeway in Moiliili, said police spokesman Capt. Frank Fujii.

The 39-year-old Kim was arrested at 3:10 a.m. on suspicion of operating a vehicle under the influence of an intoxicant, a misdemeanor. He posted $500 bail about 5 a.m.

Fujii said he spoke with the arresting and booking officers.

"The words that they used was that the suspect was very cooperative and respectful to everyone he came into contact with," Fujii said.

"I think the message here is that we're coming up to the holiday season, so if you drink, please don't drive," he said. "Let's make the road safe for everyone."

In November 2004 actresses Michelle Rodriguez and Cynthia Watros were charged with drunken driving. They both pleaded guilty in 2005.

Rodriguez, who had a previous drunken-driving conviction in Los Angeles and two speeding tickets in Honolulu, was sentenced to five days in jail and $357 in fines. Her character on the show, Ana Lucia, was later written out of the series.

Watros played Libby on the show. Her license was suspended for 90 days, and she paid a $312 fine and was ordered to undergo alcohol assessment and counseling. Her character was also written out of the show.

Six other cast members have been cited for traffic violations in Hawaii, mostly for speeding.
