True Religion signs lease at Ala Moana
True Religion, a high-end denim apparel company from Los Angeles, has signed a lease at Ala Moana Center and expects to open in the summer of 2008.
The 1,270-square-foot boutique -- True Religion's first Hawaii store -- will feature its entire collection of apparel which includes jeans for men, women and children, as well as sportswear, footwear, swimwear, hats and handbags.
Jeffrey Lubell, chairman and CEO of True Religion, said Ala Moana Center was a premier retail location to introduce its brand to the Hawaii market, given that it attracts more than 42 million customers annually.
Established in December 2002, True Religion Apparel has made a name for itself as a premium denim company offering fashion-forward seams, vintage washes and creative embroidery worn by Hollywood celebrities like Lindsey Lohan.
The True Religion brand is carried at boutiques around the world, and department stores including Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus and Saks Fifth Avenue.
True American's core customer base is hip, fashionable and brand-conscious, between the ages of 18 and 45, with an average household income of more than $100,000. The jeans retail for between $200 to $300.
The retailer has gone from one store in 2005 to 15 this year. The company is aiming to open more than 30 stores by 2008, and more than 50 stores in 2009.
