Friday: The Mad Caddies
Pipeline Cafe / 589-1999
The Mad Caddies, left, return to Honolulu this weekend, fresh off a visit to Japan and a quick jaunt home to California for a few days of rest and relaxation. The band, with its hit single "Drinking for Eleven," last played Pipeline in December 2005; they return with a new album, "Keep it Going," and local openers the Golfcart Rebellion in an all-ages show that starts at 7 p.m.
Tuesday: "The Mai Tai Rumble"
Mai Tai Bar Ala Moana / 947-2900
The Mai Tai Bar's annual battle of the bands is back at Ala Moana Shopping Center, following a reunion show on Oct. 2 that featured four past "Rumble" winners and the first round of competition on Oct. 9. For 10 weeks, local bands will face off with more than $28,000 in cash and prizes up for grabs. The "Mai Tai Aftershock" concert series follows the battle; Beach 5 will play on Tuesday, starting around 10 p.m.
