Lanai Hospitality Partners will mark the grand reopening of Hotel Lanai with a Celebration Weekend to take place Oct. 12 to 14, allowing guests to become reacquainted with the plantation-days charm of the hotel.

Oct. 12 marks the first day that the newly christened restaurant, Lanai City Grille, will be open with a special four-course dinner prepared by chef Beverly Gannon. The cost of the dinner, with paired wines and cocktails, is $95. Proceeds raised will go directly to benefit Lanai High.

"Lanai-Tai Weekend" follows on Oct. 13 and 14, when guests can enjoy the classic taste of the Lanai-Tai and dine at 25 percent off of the regular priced meals accompanied by live music from Polihua.

As the first hotel on Lanai, the property features 10 guest rooms and an adjacent cottage, ideal for travelers searching for an intimate connection with old Hawaii. Renovated guest rooms offer simple accommodations without sacrificing comfort or style. Choose from three room options priced from $139 to $229. Call (877) ONLANAI (665-2624) or (808) 565-7211.
