Coming up roses
The Honolulu Rose Society presents its Fall Rose Show from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. tomorrow at Kahala Mall
The competition is open to members as well as the general public.
Show entries will be accepted from 8 to 9 a.m. No late entries will be accepted as judging begins at 9 a.m.
The public will have a chance to vote in the Novice and Most Fragrant categories from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m..
The Honolulu Rose Society is a non-profit organization and an affiliate of the American Rose Society that began in 1975 and has grown in membership to its current 116.

Feng shui workshop to be held in Hawaii Kai
Learn the basics of traditional feng shui, the ancient Chinese art of placement for prosperity, during a free seminar tomorrow conducted by Alan S. F. Lum.
The one-hour program in celebration of The Big Read Hawaii Project will be held at the Hawaii Kai Public Library at 11 a.m. tomorrow.
Lum is the author of "Feng Shui for Lunch," written with Clarence Lau, and "The Centuries Old Philosophy and Practice of Traditional Feng Shui and the More Advanced Flying Star Feng Shui."
The Big Read Hawaii Project, an initiative of the National Endowment for the Arts, is coordinated by the Hawaii Capital Cultural District and its partner affiliates.
