Online art store makes decorating easy
Finding that perfect piece of art for your home or office decor is now a click away. Printscapes.com, a full-service online fine-art store, offers more than 20,000 images of photography, paintings and vintage art and specializes in Hawaiian, Asian and Pacific Rim artwork.
Customers can purchase prints that are either pre-framed and pre-matted or select their own from more than 50 frame and 80 mat styles and colors. Prices start at $39 for a custom print.
Printscapes.com represents more than 50 fine artists and photographers in the Pacific region.

Event pairs wine with food choices
Did you lose the wine? Perhaps you'll find it at the "Find the Wine!" event at Cassis Wine Bar, 6 to 7:30 p.m. Saturday.
Gourmet Cooking Hawaii has been hosting private events in which diners taste dishes with a couple of potential wine pairings, then choose the best.
This will be the first open tasting, featuring four appetizers and eight wines. Todd Ashline, sommelier at Chef Mavro, and Collin Darrell, sommelier at Cassis, will guide the discussion. Cost is $65 Call 735-7788.
Also at Cassis by Mavro: A new Wikiwiki Menu is available for those with limited time for lunch. Soup or salad and entree may be ordered from a set menu for $17.50 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Available to go.
Entree choices: Rotisserie Fresh Chicken Hulihuli Style, Tarte Flambée, Fresh Chicken Tzatziki Salad and Hamakua Mushroom Risotto.

Restaurant puts spotlight on garlic
That smelly old friend, garlic, is guest of honor at Auntie Pasto's annual Garlic Fest, Thursday through Sept. 26.
Menu specials for the festival: Roasted Garlic Soup, White Pizza with Garlic Herb Schmear and Pork Tender Scalloppini.
Daily dinner specials: Cheeseburger Meatloaf (stuffed with roasted garlic) on Mondays, Slow-Roasted Spare Ribs Ala Gilroy on Tuesdays, Spinach Gnocchi in a Parmesan and Garlic Cream Sauce on Wednesdays, Garlic Half Chicken on Thursdays, Pan-Roasted Fresh Catch with Garlic on Fridays, Slow-Roasted Lamb Shank on Saturdays and Slow-Roasted Pork Loin with Garlic Jam on Sundays.

Cooking class, wine dinner on tap
Coming up at 3660 on the Rise:
Flora Springs Wine Dinner: John Komes, owner of the Napa Valley, Calif., winery, hosts a five-course dinner, 6:30 p.m. Friday. The menu of Olive Oil Poached Wild Salmon, Fire-Roasted Duck Breast, Prosciutto Wrapped Short Rib, Medallion of Lamb and Red Wine Poached Pear will be served with Flora Springs' chardonnay, cabernet sauvignon, merlot and the 2003 "Soliloquy" and "Trilogy." Cost is $80.
Cooking class: Chef Russell Siu demonstrates how to make Baked Oyster with Lemon Ginger Cream and Tobiko Caviar, Arare-Crusted Wild Salmon, Beef Burgundy and Vanilla Panna Cotta with Citrus Consommé, 6 p.m. Sept. 13. Cost is $53, including a tasting of all the dishes and wines.
Chef's Table: Siu will discuss each dishes on his menu of Oyster Stew, Lobster Mousse, Pan-Roasted Breast of Quail with Foie Gras, Tian of Lamb and Warm Pear Tart with Roquefort Cheese, 6:30 p.m. Sept. 26. Cost is $75; no corkage fee for those who bring wines.
