About 30 people with Temple Emanu-El gathered for Friday Shabbat service yesterday at Kakaako Waterfront Park, concluding a monthly series of Shabbat services taking place near the water. Firefighters raised money for the Muscular Dystrophy Association yesterday as part of their annual "Fill the Boot" campaign. Among them was Fire Capt. Robert Methered, who looked for contributions from pedestrians at the corner of Bishop and King streets.
