Consul General of Japan Toshio Kunikata presented a wreath Tuesday at the Dedicatory Stone at the base of the Honolulu Memorial in the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific at Punchbowl. Kunikata, who assumed his assignment on Aug. 16, used the ceremony to pay homage to the fallen heroes of America's past wars. Merchant Street was cordoned off yesterday evening for Murphy's 12th Annual Pigskin Pigout. The fundraiser hosted by Murphy's Bar & Grill for the University of Hawaii football team brought together sports enthusiasts and VIPs for food, drink, entertainment and a live auction.
