Spade debuts fashion boutique
Today is opening day for Kate Spade, with the debut of its first stand-alone boutique in Hawaii at 2201 Kalakaua Ave.
The designer's reputation was built by her handbag business, launched in 1993. Since then the Kate Spade brand has expanded to incorporate apparel and accessories, home accessories, fine papers and stationery, and baby gear. The 3,420-square-foot space will house all the designer's lines.
Store hours will be 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays to Saturdays and noon to 5 p.m. Sundays.

Marsha Nadalin Salon opens new Annex
Following a major renovation that doubled its square footage, Marsha Nadalin Salon & Spa at Kahala Mall will be hosting the grand opening of its new Annex from 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday.
Marsha Nadalin has partnered with Make-a-Wish, Hawaii, and will be offering miniservices for a minimum $10 donation. These include hand massages, makeup touchup, hairstyling, minifacials and chair massages.
Located opposite from the Salon & Spa at the mall, Annex Marsha Nadalin is a full-service hair salon providing cuts, color, perms and hair extensions, and now includes a lash-extension and waxing room. Its new Color Bar is an interactive area where customers can be involved in the color selection and watch the stylist formulate their color.
"It's as cool as watching the bartender mix your drinks," Nadalin said.
For more information, call 737-8505 or the Annex at 737-5110.
