Women's Fund distributes grants
The
Women's Fund of Hawaii awarded the following grants to organizations that support women and girls:
Ethnic Education Foundation of Hawaii, $4,775;
Hamakua Health Center, $1,000;
Hulihia III, $3,000;
Ka Hale Ola Makamae, $4,500;
KEY Project (Kualoa-Heeia Ecumenical Youth) Project, $3,538;
Maui Advisory Group of the Pilipina Rural Project, $5,000;
Molokai General Hospital's Rural Health Clinic, $5,000;
the Oahu Surfrider Foundation, $5,000;
Urban Development Programs for Women of Public Housing, $5,000;
Waikiki Health Center, Care-A-Van Program, $2,225;
Waianae Women's Book Bank for Higher Education, $3,762;
Women of Waianae, $2,200.

The Waikiki Health Center received $60,000 from the McInerny Foundation and $30,000 from G.N. Wilcox Trust in support of the nonprofit group's medical care services to uninsured and underserved patients.
An additional $32,000 in grants to support the center's homeless services came from the Waikiki Business Improvement District Association ($25,000); and Friends of Hawaii Charities Inc. ($5,000).
