Ahupuaa tour
The traditions and legends of the Waihe'e ahupuaa will be explored during a tour on Saturday.
Participants will journey into a Windward watershed and learn the history of this valley, located just north of Kahaluu, from 10 a.m. to noon. A hiuwai, or freshwater cleansing ceremony, is among the tour highlights.

Music on Maui
Maui Future Arts at Alelani is hosting a series of benefit concerts to help with the opening of a music and cultural education center in January.
Concerts will be held at the Haku Baldwin Garden on Mount Haleakala.
The schedule: Marty Dread on Saturday, North Shore Buzz on Sept. 1, Haiku Hillbillies on Sept. 8, Gypsy Pacific on Oct. 6 and Kanekoa Oct. 13.
