» Tyler Davis (Hawaii) joined the Fort Wayne Wizards on Friday after being promoted from rookie ball. Davis was 3-0 with a 0.83 ERA and a save in 21 2/3 innings in Arizona. He struck out 17 batters and walked eight.
» Steven Wright had the worst outing of his career on Friday, allowing 11 earned runs to the Frederick Keys on six hits in 1 1/3 innings. Frederick led 12-0 after two innings and went on to win 13-1.
» Jerome Williams' first start for the Rochester Red Wings was not a good one. He gave up five runs on nine hits in 3 1/3 innings against the Buffalo Bisons. Williams dropped to 0-10 this year between Double-A and the major leagues. Williams earned a save in his first appearance for his new club.
