» Shane Victorino (St. Anthony) begins his rehab assignment in Double-A in Reading on Tuesday. He's been out with a strained right calf and was put on the 15-day DL. "Everything feels fine," said Victorino. "I'll probably DH the first game (on the rehab) and work my way into the outfield from there."

» Bronson Sardinha (Kamehameha) was promoted on Aug. 9 to Triple-A ScrantonWilkes-Barre. In his first game, he went 2-for-3 with two RBIs and a double, helping to lead his team to its fifth straight win.

» Jerome Williams (Waipahu) signed a minor league contract with the Minnesota Twins and was assigned to Triple-A Rochester on Friday, according to rotoworld.com. Williams was 0-5 with a 7.20 ERA in six starts with the Washington Nationals this season.

» Keoni Ruth (Kamehameha) smacked a two-run homer on Aug. 10 in Eugene's 11-7 win over Salem-Keizer. Ricky Bauer (Mid-Pacific, UH) was the starting pitcher for Salem-Keizer.

» Kris Sanchez (UH) was batting .348 with six RBIs and six runs scored this month as of Aug. 7.

» Matt Inouye (Mid-Pacific, UH) led Great Falls with three hits, including a home run to left, in a 13-0 rout over the Missoula Osprey.

» Zach McAngus (Kamehameha) hit a three-run homer on a 3-2 count to right-center last Sunday in a 6-4 loss to the Billings Mustangs.

» Dusty Bergman (UH) Went 6 1/3 innings and gave up three runs on five hits to earn his fifth win on the season, a 5-3 victory against Yuma.
