Health Department to host mental health discussions
The state Department of Health is holding public meetings statewide this month to gather information from residents on mental health issues and to discuss the vision for transforming Hawaii's mental health services.
Health Director Chiyome Fukino will conduct 10 meetings on the neighbor islands and two on Oahu. In addition to the scheduled "talk story" sessions, the public also can participate by signing up to become a member of a subcommittee, taking part in an interview, joining a focus group or contacting the Transformation Working Group directly with ideas or suggestions.
