Gueye signs with team in France
Former Hawaii forward Ahmet Gueye has signed a contract with a professional basketball team in France.
Gueye, the Rainbow Warriors' top rebounder and defensive player the past two seasons, signed with Entente Orleanaise Loiret of the French League's Pro A Division.
Gueye is the second member of last season's UH squad to sign with a professional team in Europe. Guard Matt Lojeski signed with Okapi Aalstar of Belgium and played with the Utah Jazz summer league team in the Rocky Mountain Revue last month.
Gueye came back from a knee injury to lead the Rainbows in rebounding last season with 8.4 per game and blocked shots with 66.
He finished second in scoring with 12.1 points per game.
Gueye ranks fourth in UH history in blocked shots with 131 over his two-year Hawaii career.
