FASHIONS FIT FOR A QUEEN:JOHN BERGER / JBERGER@STARBULLETIN.COMHawaiian fashion was the theme Sunday for the Friends of 'Iolani Palace "Fit for a Queen Fashion Show" in the Palace Barracks. The cavalcade of gowns, muumuus and holokus followed the evolution of island fashion from the 1820s through modern retro styles suitable for the Friends' "Royal Garden Party" at the palace in September. Show sponsor Mark Teruya, kneeling left, KITV's Pamela Young, front center, and Friends Executive Director Kippen de Alba Chu were joined after the show by models Tesia Worley, back left, Milia Macfarlane, Debbie Nakanelua, Nadine Wise and Chanel Wise. STILL THE BEST:JOHN BERGER / JBERGER@STARBULLETIN.COMMrs. Hawaii 2007 Nadine Wise welcomed longtime fashion merchandiser Audrey Fu to her "Send-off Fundraiser Party" at Rumours on Wednesday. Wise was the first model Fu hired to do print ads for Fu's upscale boutique, Chocolates for Breakfast. ("She was the best!" Fu said.) Shaner of Today's KUMU 94.7 greeted Dennis and Michelle Mendoza at "Art on the Lawn," a benefit art exhibit at La Pietra-Hawaii School for Girls, on Saturday. The Mendozas' daughters are La Pietra students; Shaner was there to support his "art mentor," Stephen Paschal, one of the participating artists (Hawaii residents will remember Paschal as local radio deejay Steve Clark, creator of "Blind Date Boogie").
