Service to honor Kapolei couple killed in Alaska

A Kapolei couple who died last month in a motor home crash during an Alaska vacation will be memorialized and inurned Wednesday.
On June 26, Dawn Pui Kwan Klausing and Jeffrey William Klausing, both 41, were riding in a motor home in Soldotna, Alaska, when the vehicle's tire caught the soft shoulder of the highway, sending the vehicle down an embankment and into a ditch. The couple died instantly.
Both Klausings worked at the U.S. Pacific Command Joint Intelligence Operations Center at Pearl Harbor.
Visitation for the couple will be from 9:30 a.m. at Hosoi Garden Mortuary with service at 10:30 a.m. Committal service and inurnment will follow at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific.
The Klausings are survived by son Kyle and daughter Kaylie. Jeffrey Klausing is survived by mother Barbara Klausing and brother Anthony. Dawn Klausing is survived by father Donald Kwock Mun Au, mother Miriam Lin Wan Look Sarae, grandmother Esther Look and stepbrother Robert Sarae.
The family requests casual attire and no flowers.
