Rabid transit
There is not going to be an easy solution found
For the political train route merry-go-round.
Billions to benefit a few neighborhoods.
But the whole island? No likelihood.
It's gonna to be a colossal waste of money
To build a system without a careful study
As it may not stunt motor vehicle growth
So trains and traffic jams, we'll then have both.
Up scaling HRT might be the best for us.
With a right-of-way and on time? I'll take the bus.
Daily headlines inspire the poet in Joe Gedan, a retired U.S. magistrate judge who lives in Honolulu. His observations on the news appear on Sundays and Fridays.
