Notes: Ireland's Padraig Harrington won the British Open at Carnoustie, surviving a calamitous finish in regulation to beat Sergio Garcia in a four-hole playoff. Harrington lost a one-shot lead on the 72nd hole by twice hitting into the Barry Burn on his way to double bogey. ... Joe Ogilvie won the U.S. Bank Championship in Milwaukee for his first PGA Tour victory in 230 starts.
