Anelakai Kaniho, 4, posed for a photograph in front of a painting titled "Inside Pipeline Looking at Paumalu Pupukea," by Bill Braden, at the 10th Annual Haleiwa Arts Festival on Sunday. The painting was commissioned by the North Shore Community Land Trust and was being offered for $35,000. Half of the proceeds will go to the NSCLT to better its land conservation projects. Artist Cecelia Linayao worked on a soft pastel street painting titled "The Ukulele Lesson" at the Haleiwa Arts Festival. Linayao explained that the art form began during the Renaissance in Italy and is a lesson about the process of making art, sharing and ultimately letting go. CLICK FOR LARGE
