According to Joe

Truth and consequences
Joe Wilson started Iraq policy to unravel
He said the war's predicate did not exist.
Cheney then knew it was time to go to battle
Putting those truthful on an enemies list.
When Wilson's CIA wife was illegally exposed
Bush said, "We'll get to the bottom of it."
But ignored the top where the power reposed
Leaving only Scooter, an unhappy scapegoat culprit.
Of course, Scooter didn't rat Cheney out.
It's all in accordance with criminal tradition.
If committing a crime for people with clout
You'll be rescued by your patron politician.
Lesson learned:
If you tell the truth, you will lose
Because if they can't get you, then you'll dread
Getting that offer you can't refuse
"Shut the hell up or we'll get your family instead."
