Big Isle break at ResortQuest
Those heading to the Big Island to witness the volcanic drama and tour the island will be able to take advantage of kamaaina rates offered by ResortQuest Hawaii.
Rates through Jan. 1, 2008, for the ResortQuest Shores at Waikoloa start at $175, ResortQuest Waikoloa Colony Villas from $148, or stay at the renovated ResortQuest Kona by the Sea from $168 per night plus applicable taxes. (Price does not include hotel fee, room tax, incidentals or gratuities, and is subject to change without notice.)
An additional feature is ResortQuest's "Kids Stay, Play & Eat Free" program (when accompanied by one paying adult), and guests also receive a free Aloha Book at check-in (one per room) at all 26 ResortQuest Hawaii properties. The book contains offers worth up to $1,200 for guests and is a guide to some of the best culture, history, cuisine and attractions in the islands.

Enjoy the outdoors at Hanalei Colony
Active travelers are invited to Hanalei Colony Resort, where its 2007 "Explore Napali Package" includes a kayak for a day on the Hanalei River, a guidebook for exploring Kauai's hiking trails including the world-famous Napali coastline, and a hiking gift.
The package is for five- or seven-night accommodations in a two-bedroom ocean-view condominium, and includes a convertible rental car, a two-hour guided tour of historic Limahuli Garden, and an in-room or beachfront massage for two.

ATA swoops in direct to Kona
The Big Island has welcomed ATA Airlines to Kona, making it the only air carrier to offer direct flights from the mainland to both Hilo and Kona. The new direct flight departs Oakland at 6 p.m. every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, landing in Kona at 8:20 p.m. The return flight departs Kona at 9:45 p.m. and arrives in Oakland at 6 a.m.
The new Kona flight offers 148 coach seats and 12 business-class seats.
ATA also flies into Hilo from Mondays to Wednesdays, and Friday and Saturday, departing Oakland at 7:45 p.m. and landing in Hilo at 10:15 p.m. The return flight departs Hilo from Tuesdays to Thursdays, and Saturday and Sunday at 8:20 a.m., landing in Oakland at 3:20 p.m.
