Friday and Saturday: "Kahuli CD Fundraiser" and Herban Pa'ani

Downtown performance venue/kava bar The Riverloft continues its support of up-and-coming local musicians this weekend with a pair of live performances.

Kahuli will hold a CD fundraiser on Friday starting at 7:30 p.m., with proceeds from the $10 cover going towards recording expenses; all ages welcome. Reggae band Herban Pa'ani plays Saturday at 9 p.m. 18+

Thursday: "Soulstice"

Celebrate the longest day of the year with three local lyricists who plan to spit some fire of their own.

Travis T, Darron and Lyz are the featured performers on Thursday at the Lava Rock Lounge, the new bar in the former location of the old Da Dawg House Waikiki. The fun starts at 8:30 p.m., but get there early to sign up for the open mic sessions that are also planned. Cover is $7, but show your local ID and you pay just two bucks!
