A PERFECT REUNION:JOHN BERGER / JBERGER@STARBULLETIN.COMHonolulu Symphony Concertmaster Iggy Jang, third from left, and French-Australian harpist Sebastien Lipman, fourth from left, were the featured players in a reunion concert June 3 at the Honolulu Academy of Arts. The two were childhood friends in France in the 1970s but had been out of touch for more than 30 years until Lipman contacted Jang last fall. Kirby Nunez, left, Greg Wrenn, Sayo Lipman, Mark Votapek and Mark Butin joined them in an exquisite program that included a piece for two harps, played by Sebastien and Sayo Lipman. Black explained to adventurous partyers that the new brand comes from northern Vietnam and is distilled from rice rather than the grains or potatoes used in traditional European vodkas.
