Dr. Brown in town
Skin care royalty will be in the islands when Dr. Gregory Bays Brown makes his first Hawaii appearance at Neiman Marcus from noon to 3 p.m. next Thursday.
Brown is a noted plastic surgeon and president and founder of RéVive skin care, a line that incorporates EGF (Epidermal Growth Factor), a bio-engineered molecule whose discovery won a Nobel Prize in 1986. When applied to skin, EGF regenerates the skin and allows the cells to turn over faster, as it does in youthful skin, resulting in a vibrant, supple and dewy complexion.
Brown was among the Nobel Award-winning scientists who discovered EGF, who went on to win the cosmetic patent for EGF in 1994 and launched RéVive to the public in 1997.
Hylton Lea, VP of client relations for RéVive, will also be available for private consultations during the appearance and from noon to 4 p.m. June 1.
Lea is RéVive skin care's expert to the stars and works with A-list Hollywood celebrities in helping them to maintain camera-ready complexions. To make an appointment, call 948-7387.
Also at NM, Manolo Blahnik's Fall 2007 trunk show starts next Thursday, with the latest styles on view during store hours in the Ladies Shoes department through June 10.
