Hamamoto wins Kona Open
Jarett Hamamoto shot a 2-under 70 yesterday to finish a stroke better than amateur Sean Maekawa at the Kuma Contracting Kona Open at Kona Country Club.
Hamamoto finished 2 under to win the tournament. Amateurs Henry Park and K.C. Botelho finished tied for third at even par. Norman-Ganin Asao, Joe Phengsavath, Ron Castillo Jr. and Pierre-Henri Soero tied for fifth at 1 over.
All-Academic team named at camp
The First Hawaiian Bank All-Hawaii All-Academic Football Team was named this weekend in conjunction with the Pacific Islands Athletic Alliance High School Football Evaluation Camp.
