The author of this small hardcover book is H. Douglas Pratt -- an ornithologist, writer, photographer and world-renowned illustrator. He is currently the research curator of birds at the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences. Two other photographers have contributed to this book: U.S. Army physician Tom Dove and retired physician Jacob Faust. This particular photo book showcases many birds that are native to the Hawaiian Islands in their natural habitats.
