Make paper bride gowns
Anyone who's been to a bridal shower and felt it was a shame to let their wrapping paper and ribbon creations go to waste can now put their paper design skills to the test.
The Web site www.cheap-chic-weddings.com is sponsoring its third Toilet Paper Wedding Dress Contest, with $500 awaiting the winner.
Just grab a friend, some toilet paper and tape or glue (that's all you can use), make the dress on your model, take a digital photo and submit it to contest@cheap-chic-weddings.com. There's no entry fee. The contest will run through June 15.
All submissions will be posted to the Web site for viewing.
Last year's winner was Stephanie Stutzenberger of Cumming, Ga., whose dress was deemed "worthy of a bridal catalogue!"
Second prize and the honorable mentions from the 2006 contest can be viewed at www.cheap-chic-weddings.com/wedding-contest-2006.html.
