Waikiki deal puts guest behind wheel of a Lotus

If you can't afford to buy a Lotus, maybe you'll just have to make do with driving one for a day or two. Those who check out the Lotus Experience through Waikiki Parc Hotel's "Room & Vroom" package have a choice of driving a Chili Red or Chrome Orange Lotus Elise, a sports car (MSRP $46,270) with a 150-mph top speed, that goes from 0-to-60 mph in 4.8 seconds.

The two-night package starts at $565, single or double occupancy, and includes the room, use of the Lotus, and complimentary porte-cochere valet parking. Additional nights start at $195, and additional Lotus 24-hour rentals are $175 per day, based on availability, through Dec. 20. Prices are subject to taxes.
