HOT proposal
WANNABE BRIDES might want to remember the tale of Kyle Shuman and Carrie Schmidt the next time Hawaii Opera Theatre hosts its Act 2 fashion show / fundraiser.
At last Friday's fashion show on the second floor of the Honolulu Design Center, Shuman was inspired to act when, during the fashion show choreographed by Susan Fried, he saw model Denby Dung gliding across the floor, a vision in a white princess-style wedding gown by Eden Bridals.
Shuman knew he had to get it for Schmidt and proposed immediately after securing the dress for a fraction of its original cost, at $100.
The surprised bride-to-be tearfully accepted his proposal. It figures that a HOT event would be an invitation to drama.
