Transportation projects to be discussed statewide

The state Department of Transportation will hold informal public meetings on Kauai, Hawaii, Maui and Molokai starting tomorrow on projects proposed for federal funding.

The Oahu Metropolitan Planning Organization will have state and city transportation officials at its next meetings to answer questions on the draft Statewide Transportation Improvement Program.

Copies of the draft are available by calling 587-6355, or it can be viewed online at www.hawaii.gov/dot/stp/stip. Comments also can be submitted to the state Highway Planning Branch by mail, e-mail or facsimile.
