RAINBOW WARRIOR BASKETBALL
Rainbows looking to reload
With a deadline quickly approaching, Hawaii basketball coach Bob Nash expects the Rainbow Warriors to start filling the team's four available scholarships within the next week.
"In the next week or so we'll see some definite movement," the first-year coach said.
The spring signing period runs through May 16.
Nash said the staff is looking down the road as well as filling immediate needs with a mix of high school and junior college recruits.
UH lost leading scorer Matt Lojeski and top rebounder Ahmet Gueye from last season's 18-13 team and returns seven seniors, including three starters, next season.
"We're looking at all positions," Nash said. "We're trying to bring in guys who can make an impact."
