Kiahuna offers free golf in Poipu
Guests staying at the Outrigger Kiahuna Plantation condominium resort along the Poipu shore are just moments from the Kiahuna Golf Club where they can now enjoy two free rounds of golf thanks to a new room-and-golf package.
A minimum three-night stay is required to receive a certificate to play the 18-hole course designed by Robert Trent Jr. Guests must call (808) 742-9595 to reserve tee times.
The package is available through Oct. 31 for single or double occupancy. In addition to its normal rates, the Outrigger Kiahuna Plantation offers rates from $179 nightly. Special offers cannot be combined with other offers, are subject to availability and can change without notice. Restrictions could apply. Taxes are not included.
The property offers one- and two-bedroom condominium suites with kitchen and private lanai on a landscaped 35-acre site.

Explore Kona via walking tour
The Kona Historical Society has introduced the Historic Kailua Walking tour, taking place at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Tours start between Kailua Pier and the King Kamehameha Kona Beach Hotel, ending at Hulihee Palace. The cost is $15 per person to the 1 1/2-hour interpretive walk, also accessible to persons with disabilities. Reservations can be made by calling (808) 326-9092 or (808) 938-8825.
