'Death with Dignity' is seminar topic
Religious, political and philosophical perspectives on "Death with Dignity" will be discussed at a Thursday seminar at the Buddhist Study Center, 1436 University Ave.
The 7 p.m. event is part of a series of seminars on social issues facing the community sponsored by Honpa Hongwanji Mission and the Interfaith Alliance of Hawaii. It is free and open to the public.
The speakers will include the Rev. Yoshiaki Fujitani, former Honpa Hongwanji bishop; Ken Kipnis, University of Hawaii philosophy professor; the Rev. Neal MacPherson, pastor of Church of the Crossroads; Kelly Rosati, executive director of Hawaii Family Forum; and Jory Watland, past president of the American Civil Liberties Union of Hawaii.
