Last year: Phil Mickelson won the tournament for the second time in three years, closing with a 3-under 69 for a two-stroke victory over Tim Clark. Mickelson finished at 7 under, a week after winning the BellSouth Classic by 13 strokes at 28 under.
Last week: Adam Scott held off defending champion Stuart Appleby in an all-Australian duel in the Houston Open, saving par with a 50-foot putt on the 72nd hole after hitting his tee shot into the water. Scott shot a 6-under 66 to finish at 17 under, three strokes ahead of Appleby and third-round leader Bubba Watson. ... Pablo Martin-Benavides became the first amateur to win the Estoril Open. The 20-year-old Spaniard edged France's Raphael Jacquelin by a stroke.
Notes: Tiger Woods won the 2005 tournament for his fourth Masters title, beating Chris DiMarco with a 15-foot birdie putt on the first hole of a playoff.

Last week: Morgan Pressel became the youngest major champion in LPGA Tour history, winning the Kraft Nabisco Championship at 18 years, 10 months, 9 days. Pressel played the final 24 holes at Mission Hills without a bogey, finishing a final-round 69 with a 10-foot birdie putt. Suzann Pettersen, four strokes ahead with four holes to play, shot a 74 to finish one back with Catriona Matthew and Brittany Lincicome.
