The Third Annual Mad About Science Festival was held yesterday at Bishop Museum. Children and their parents enjoyed dozens of activities that allowed them to explore and discover various concepts in different sciences, from Earth and medical sciences to out-of-this-world space sciences. As Moanalua High School junior and volunteer Katie Ichiyama, left, talked about how much water is used in normal household chores, 6-year-old Joleen Nonaka, right, picked up a button and played with it as her sister, Alyson Nonaka, looked on.
